The Gotedo Platform

I founded the Gotedo Platform in 2019 with a singular vision: provide technology independence for churches and christians around the world.

Our vision gave birth to the Gotedo Mission which is:

1. Build modern, robust, and alternative technological solutions for everyone, starting with a focus on churches and the global Christian community;
2. Unite churches and Christians worldwide in our shared goal of serving Almighty God; and
3. Safeguard the interests of churches and Christians globally.

To achieve our vision and mission, we have spent the last seven years building specialised, high-performance, and proprietary technologies in order to avoid vendor lock-ins in all critical areas of our technology stack. As the (Technical) Founder of Gotedo, my role extends beyond writing code; it encompasses the holistic lifecycle of the product ecosystem.

Over the years, I have directed the company’s trajectory, actively managing the Engineering and Operation teams. This dual capacity - bridging deep technical architecture with go-to-market strategies - has allowed Gotedo to build products that are not only technologically superior but also deeply aligned with user needs and operational realities.

At its core, Gotedo is an engineering-first company. I have personally served as the Chief Architect for our suite of proprietary technologies, prioritizing performance, offline reliability, and low-latency execution.

To achieve our misison, the Gotedo Engineering Team built the following technologies from ground up:

1. Gotedo Social Media Application. The Gotedo Social Media Application connects Christians, churches, Christian organizations, and like-minded individuals and persons/organisations worldwide. Beyond standard social media features, it offers powerful tools to foster deep connections between churches and their members. We have developed innovative, first-of-their-kind functionalities to support this mission and will continue to enhance our toolkit. The Gotedo Social Media Platform aims to provide a safe, family-friendly environment free from the issues plaguing existing platforms.

2. Gotedo Vineyard Software. Our flagship, enterprise-grade church management software equips churches and Christian organizations with tools to manage congregations of all sizes effectively. Tightly integrated with the Gotedo Social Media Application, the Gotedo Vineyard Software ensures seamless connectivity between churches and their members. 3. Gotedo Streams. Our real-time livestreaming / video conferencing application which allows churches to stream their church services, zonal fellowship meetings, and other sundry programmes to their members at fractions of the cost of alternative softwares such as Google Meet or Zoom. 4. Gotedo Impress. Our native, desktop presentation software which allows churches to present Bible verses, presentations, images, videos, etc on projector or screens during worship. It features a novel multi-screens functionality which allows independent, simultaneous projector of media on different screens.

5. Gotedo Accounts System. Our robust and proprietary Accounts Management System with in-house developed OAuth2 / OIDC authentication flow. The only 3rd-party integration is non-critical Google/Apple Sign-In. You can access our Accounts System at https://accounts.gotedo.com.

6. Our powerful, proprietary Product Documentation System which supports full localisations of articles, categories, and products, with no 3rd-party API integrations. 7. Our proprietary, highly-scalable Billing and Subscription Management System which handles every aspect of billing and subscriptions for the Gotedo Platform, including pricing table management, billing, subscriptions and recurring subscriptions, subscription cancellations, invoicing, etc. All functionalities are native to our application backend., with 3rd-party API integrations limited to of payment processors. 8. Our versatile Media Processing Server, which processes all images, videos, and audio files uploaded to the Gotedo Social Media Platform. The only third-party integration is for remote storage of processed media files.

9. Our proprietary Customer Support System, handling all user and customer inquiries, available at https://support.gotedo.com/en/tickets. Though in its early stages, we will continue to enhance its features.

10. Our proprietary Content Moderation System, integrated into the Gotedo Social Media Platform, allowing users to report content that violates our community policies and terms of service. This system is ready for AI-assisted content moderation.

11. Our proprietary Email Newsletter Management System, enabling us to send newsletters directly from our Application Backend without third-party API integrations. It is fully CAN-SPAM and GDPR compliant, ensuring no user data is shared with third parties.

13. Our proprietary Real-Time Notification System, featuring activity logging and intelligent routing of notifications from the Gotedo Application Backend to client applications via websocket or push notification.

Our Platform Independence Philosophy is anchored on the premise of ensuring our platform cannot be held captive by any 3rd-party vendor or provider due to an undue dependency on their technologies or platforms. In return, it ensures that the Gotedo Platform runs, truly, as an independent platform capable of fulfilling our obligations to our customers without undue external interferences.

This philosophy drives our preference for self-hosting for all our critical services which gives us 100% control over the availability of our services and their security architecture.

As a church-focused technology platform, we understand how hostile some technology providers are to the Christian faith. Our Platform Indepence Philosophy ensure that we are not too deeply entangled with such providers (which we have to still deal with in some cases) and can survive without them if we are forced to do so due to hostile anti-Christian policies.
